The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Professional Development Manager, Faculty Affairs, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0152302]
ROLE of the POSITION
The incumbent of this position will serve as an administrative liaison to the Senior Associate Dean. The essence of this position is to support efforts to empower faculty in the School of Medicine by coordinating and leading projects, including delivering training focused on professional development and continuing education.
Responsibilities include: The main responsibilities of the Professional Development Manager position include the creation, design, coordination, and execution of professional development programs for faculty, staff, and administrators at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine (SOM) in content areas related to leadership development, teaching skills, organizational effectiveness, personal and organizational growth, and continuing education. The position exercises autonomous, critical thinking and judgment in program design and execution. It also supports the execution of CME-related professional development programming in collaboration with the CME Director and CME Manager and supports the management of the professional development budget within the Office of Faculty Affairs. The position delivers programming via hybrid platforms, creates evaluation tools, compiles evaluation results, and provides leadership with metrics on the delivered program quality and outcomes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and three (3) years of related experience, two (2) years of experience in program/project management or commensurate additional experience, and one (1) years of management experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
