About the role
Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking for a highly organized, client-focused individual to join our Specialty Client Care Team and support the smooth operation of our specialty departments. This role is vital in ensuring timely, compassionate care for patients while assisting with efficient scheduling and communication processes. This is a full-time role, with availability for a weekend shift being a requirement. We currently have 2 openings for this role, one will follow a Sunday rotation schedule, the second will follow a Saturday rotation schedule. The hours for both positions are 8a-6p (occasionally 7a-5p). At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 16-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC has well-staffed departments in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Rehab and Acupuncture and great team of emergency clinicians and criticalists to offer advanced services to a well-educated client base. Specialty Client Care Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME $22.00 - $27.00 an hour based on experience and availability WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage scheduling needs for specialty departments, including new consults and rechecks.
- Send and track department-specific intake forms, questionnaires, and appointment details, with follow-ups and in-clinic collection as needed.
- Monitor and respond to specialty scheduling emails, rDVM records requests, and ensure referral forms are sent and received in a timely manner.
- Resolve informal client concerns and report on these issues to the Client Services Supervisor.
- Provide day-to-day client services and support staff throughout the office.

- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in customer service required: prior veterinary experience desired but not required.
