About the role
Upright is a rapidly growing impact data company on a mission to make it financially more attractive to run a net positive company than a net negative one. From the very beginning of 2017, we have been committed to highlighting what truly matters in corporate sustainability, producing data on companies’ real-world impacts that’s backed by science, comparable, and credible to inform better decision-making for companies, investors, customers, and beyond.
Today, our Net Impact Platform is an exceptional resource – it’s the world’s largest open-access database on company and fund impact with data on 10,000+ companies and 35,000+ funds publicly available for anyone to explore. As impact data becomes increasingly central in business decision-making, Upright's data is trusted by 250+ institutional investment organizations and corporations, predominantly in Europe and North America. And this is just the beginning of our journey.
We are now on the lookout for an experienced VP of Engineering (Data) who is ready and excited to take on the challenge of making Upright's impact data the world's leading impact resource. Your mission will be to drive the coverage, quality, relevance, and transparency of our impact data, ensuring that it becomes the go-to source for understanding companies' real-world impact.
As the VP of Engineering (Data), you will lead Upright’s data function, overseeing multiple teams responsible for developing our key datasets. You’ll work with talented software engineers, data scientists, machine learning experts, and data analysts. Together, you'll push the boundaries of how our data can be used to measure impact at scale.
