Description
The Dining Services Associate Manager is supportive to the overall management of the dining staff and overseeing front-of-the-house dining operations, with the goal of creating an exceptional dining experience for all patrons served at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH).

Responsibilities
Service Focus
· Lead meal services, providing support to the residents, service staff, and kitchen team
· Oversee set up and breakdown of (not limited to) dining room, bar, living room, library, grand hall for dining and other events/functions
· Model and enforce standards of cleanliness of the dining room by continuing to develop new standards, routines, and schedules
· Perform the job of a dining server as required
· Work in collaboration with Dining Manager/Director to effectively and collaboratively deliver messaging
· Communicate deficiencies in service, quality of product, environmental concerns, and any feedback relative to the resident dining experience
· Communicate and document all observed unusual behaviors from residents to Dining Manager/Director
· Under the guidance of Manager/Director, assist in training/onboarding/coaching new and existing team members
· Maintain effective communication with vendors, management and staff
· Execute, maintain, and improve a scheduled inventory of alcohol, dry goods, and other dining-related products for review
· Maintain efficient meal reservation and POS systems to facilitate a while providing optimal reporting tools
· Implement and maintain appropriate hygiene policies for dining operations and examining equipment and tableware for cleanliness
· Coordinate with the Dining Manager/Director on a continual basis to ensure the kitchen and dining room teams are synchronized to provide a quality dining experience
· Solicit feedback from residents and the Leadership Team regarding their satisfaction with the entire dining experience, including the addressing of concerns
Supervisory
· Assist in managing daily dining operations
· Implement department standards/polices/procedures provided by Dining Manager and/or Director of Dining Services regarding operation of the dining room
· Ensure the AMH Leadership Team is fully advised of resident or employee issues that could lead to regulatory liability or legal exposure
· Protect residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state and local regulations
· Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, resident and AMH matters
· Be organized and efficient in managing workload
Required Qualifications:
· Fluency in English
· Experience in restaurants, with the ability to execute and train high-end dining standards
· Effective verbal and written communication
· Ability to work flexible hours and occasional holidays, as required
Desired Qualifications:
· College associate’s or bachelor’s degree
