The major function of this position is: 
 
To create a welcoming and meaningful experience for all visitors to Maui Jim Sunglasses, we share our story, history, and core values of quality, craftsmanship, and adventure. You will assist customers with style selection, service, and repair needs, addressing any concerns promptly, all while promoting and selling our brand.  
 
Available Shift Hours:  
 

• Flexible retail mall hours range from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM GMT-10 (Sunday through Saturday) 

• Candidates must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required 

 
Our Retail Specialist position begins at an hourly wage of $19.00 to $22.00. The exact rate of pay will be based on store location, position, and experience level. 
 
The primary responsibilities and duties of this position are: 
 
As a Retail Associate at Maui Jim, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include: 
 

• Welcome and greet all customers and vendors warmly and professionally. 

• Work collaboratively with the team to meet operational and retail goals, maintain high customer service standards, and expand the customer base. 

• Engaging customers with active listening and offering genuine assistance in sunglass fitting, style selection, and after-sale services. Demonstrating a strong understanding of Maui Jim products and heritage is essential. 

• Subject matter expert on all product lines relating to technology, lenses, materials, use, fit and prescription capabilities, etc.   

• Merchandise and maintain the appearance of the retail store to contribute to a positive customer experience. 

• Open, close and manage all retail operations including processing sales, processing returns, and cash handling.  

• Maintain and protect Maui Jim assets by following loss prevention procedures. 

• Maintain daily inventory control and replenishment of retail stock. 

• Assistance with onboarding and team development of retail associates in all aspects of retail responsibilities to support cross functional teams. 

• Supporting a positive and enthusiastic service culture by communicating effectively with both internal and external customers. 

• Support and promote the Point-of-Sale process in all areas of register procedure, protocol, and policies. 

• Creative and adaptable team player with a winning and positive attitude. 

• Monitoring merchandise for cleanliness and proper display, ensuring
