Contributes to the Hospital’s mission coordinating the day to day business operations of Winchester Hospital’s outpatient rehabilitation services which consists of multiple locations. This leadership position ensures that administrative functions in compliance with applicable regulations and to quality levels in their efforts and assists in streamlining billing issues both on the front and back end to ensure timely and maximum reimbursement. As a member of the Hospital’s leadership team provides day-to-day supervision to guide staff toward achieving the Hospital’s success factor goals and their associated initiatives. This leadership will also impact employee satisfaction by making Winchester Hospital an employer of choice and on patient care by ensuring the operations are patient centered.Job Description:
Education/Experience Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least five years prior health care administrative experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a highly relevant field may be considered in lieu of 4 years of experience.
- An Associates degree may be considered in lieu of 2 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others and facilitate change.
Education/Experience Preferred:
- Associates degree in a related field
- Prior supervisory experience
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversees and directs the day-to-day administrative operations of the multiple outpatient rehab location:
- Ensures the employees, both direct reports and others that interact with the administrative operations, are providing our patients with the most effective, efficient, safe, timely and patient-centered services possible.
- Addresses customer’s concerns that could not be resolved at the staff level.
- Endeavors to incorporate provider feedback and suggestions in operational decisions and initiatives while balancing the needs of the operations.
- Works collaboratively with the Directors and other leaders in the planning and implementing of operations and performance improvement initiatives for the areas of responsibility and the department as a whole. Participates in committees and teams as needed.
- Remains current on supervisory and the field’s best practices and trends.
- Acts as the Liaison between staff and management and keeps management informed of operational issues
- Facilitates the billing process both pre-billing and post billing to ensure accurate, complete and timely reimbursement.
- Oversees all front office supplies, planning adequate supply ordering to ensure proper operations. Monitors costs to manage within front office budget of all the offices.
- Provides statistical data regarding Outpatient Rehabilitation Services’ volumes and activities to the Directors. Creates meaningful dashboards to identify operational opportunities and trends.
- Promotes communication and problem solving with the rehab team, patients, family, significant others and inter-departmentally to provide patients with the best possible experience.
