Database Engineer – DB2 for z/OS
Are you interested in developing and strengthening your DB2 skills whilst challenging the status quo for the benefit of Danske Bank and its customers? Then join our DBA team and become our new Database Engineer.
We are looking for a strong Database Engineer profile who will be part of a global team responsible for building tooling and supporting development areas on designing and implementing DB2 objects.
You will be part of a team of database engineers located in Denmark and India. Your primary working area will be DBA oriented with our development areas located in Denmark, India and Lithuania.
We have high focus on automation, so we can deliver with time to market and deliveries with high quality. Various automated measures are implemented for prevention and control.
You should also maintain and develop our internal tools and automation.
Our primary design goals are service availability, efficiency, and resilience, underpinned by the architectural principle of cloned infrastructure, system configurations and applications.
The position is in Denmark, we have locations in Aarhus and Copenhagen.
Experience
You have 5+ years of work experience as a mainframe programmer and/or database engineer with strong DB2 z/OS knowledge.
We have extensive replications in both distributed systems and cloud environments. While knowledge of replication and message queues (MQ) is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
The role needs strong English communication skills and cross-border collaboration.
