Job Summary
The Director, Organizational Effectiveness oversees Nuclear Training at Comanche Peak and the plant’s ongoing Operations Performance Improvement (OPI) program for continuous improvement. This director works directly with the site VP and plant manager for organizational improvements, leadership development, and resolution of issues identified internally and from external oversight reviews. Additionally, this position provides the indirect oversight of station security, emergency planning, and other plant support functions.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Monitoring and improving personnel and plant performance to ensure that CPNPP is operated and maintained in accordance with the provisions of the operating license, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other federal regulations including the state of Texas regulations and permits, industry codes and standards, and Luminant requirements.
- Oversight of the stations nuclear training.
- Oversight of the stations Operational Performance Improvement (OPI)
- Oversight and engagement in the development of station leaders
- Provides guidance to the emergency planning staff in maintaining the Emergency preparedness Program for Comanche Peak which functions to protect the health and safety of the public and station employees in the event of an emergency at the site.
- Oversees management and administration of the CPNPP Security Organization.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Ideally 9 –10 years of relevant business experience management experience
- 10+ years of either commercial or navy nuclear experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on issue identification, structuring, and creativity
- Strong quantitative skills and business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
