Senior Product Transfer Statistician

We are in search of a Senior Product Transfer Statistician to help in the development of robust QC processes to transfer to our operations partners.
A successful candidate for this job role will have a background in statistics or math-based problem solving and specification development. They will ideally have experience in transferring processes from R&D to operations and managing cross-functional projects.
The ability to clearly communicate how specifications and processes were developed to a broad audience is crucial to this role as is a passion for efficiency and collaboration. This is a high-visibility, high-impact, fast-paced position where you may be working on multiple products at once.
What will you do?
Establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall QC process development and transfer to operations via training and documents.
Design and analyze studies that characterize process development to set meaningful specifications leading to robust process transfer from R&D to operations.
Identify critical process parameters and conduct/direct experiments using appropriate methods to determine acceptable functional outputs tied to product requirements.
Create JMP, or similar statistical software, based data analysis scripts to assist partners in R&D and operations complete their work.
Lead and participate in project teams across multiple disciplines to create/monitor meaningful QC processes and specifications that tie to product requirements.
Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior employees.
Consult with colleagues throughout New Product Development to guide them in experimental design and sample size.
Solve complex problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
What do you need to succeed?
A Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biological sciences, engineering or a related field with 7 years of experience working on product transfer, QC processes or a related field OR Masters degree with 5 years of experience OR PhD with 2 years of experience
A history of creating meaningful and testable process specifications leading to the production of robust manufacturing processes.
A natural passion for mentoring others and helping them succeed.
Strong presentation and communication skills including the ability to explain mathematical gymnastics to a wide audience.
Strong statistical skills and/or knowledge of Six Sigma concepts
Effectively collaborates and communicates with colleagues and others in related areas to provide support, exchange information and create efficient processes.
Strong ability to generate clearly written reports and verbal presentations to technical element teams, technical review boards, Line of Business, Executive Management or one on one.
This is a fully onsite role.
