Job Description Summary:

The Financial Services Manager - Foodservices on Premise (FSOP) role analyzes financial data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions for the National Foodservice Distributions (NFD) Team and the NA FSOP team related to Deviated Pricing, Agency Fee payments and accruals. Combined the two compensation payment streams account for approximately $92M in customer payments annually. The role interprets and tracks financial information by utilizing tools such as Alteryx and Excel to assist in making recommendations to management.


What You'll Do for Us

  • Conduct meetings with management to gather information about The Company's strategic direction (e.g., business plans, objectives, strategies, vision) for use in the development of supporting plans.
  • Engage cross functional teams in support of the implementation of revenue growth initiatives to assist in the development of system solutions. 
  • Collaborate with Technical Function leaders to jointly identify the business systems requirements to support Business plans.
  • Provide innovative thinking to development of roadmaps to contribute to profit generation of The Company.
  • Create a communications plan to ensure frequent, accurate and timely communication to all stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the service.
  • Provide leadership to ensure successful implementation, follow-up, control, maintenance, and usage of programs.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvement initiatives which drive efficiencies and reduce cost for the System. Engage and influence upstream business process change to eliminate downstream errors.
  • Provide General Accounting support: Monthly/quarterly Journal vouchers & Intercompany entries; perform Year-end closing activities, complete MDM requests and Pro-rata allocations/reporting. Ensure the maintenance of accurate, transparent, consistent, and timely financial records.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and narrative analysis to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are properly stated in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.
  • Identify, research, and make recommendations for resolution of data integrity issues. Ensure all accounting entries and authorizations follow Company Accounting Policy and GAAP.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Process NFD Account Payables submissions.
  • Provide general accounting support with journal voucher entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and Year-end closing activities.
  • Engage cross functional team in support of revenue growth initiatives and business plans.
  • Miscellaneous projects. i.e., BRIM Testing and implementation.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting

Technical Skills:

  • Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Office applications skills required (Excel, Access & PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations and familiarity with the chart of accounts
  • Experience with SAP required and CCNA Legacy systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Analysis, including spreadsheet creation, variance research and explanation.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Cross-Functional groups on complex issues to successful resolution.
  • Demonstration of being a self-starting and utilizing resources efficiently
  • While IT background is not required, a demonstration of Systems technical knowledge a plus.
