About the Team
We’re a team of strategic marketers focused on building Thumbtack’s brand and attracting, acquiring, and engaging with customers across their homeownership journey. We work closely with cross-functional partners (Biz Dev, Product, Engineering, and Data Science) to drive growth on both sides of Thumbtack’s marketplace. We are nimble, and innovative and our team’s mission is to help customers solve their home care needs by discovering and using Thumbtack’s platform.
About the Role
There is an enormous opportunity to deliver value outside the boundaries of our product and integrate Thumbtack more seamlessly into the daily lives of homeowners and professionals. To that end, we’re looking for an experienced marketer who not only knows how to successfully launch and scale new partnerships and programs, but can also develop a deep understanding of our customers to help build a roadmap for who we partner with and how. This person will focus on improving existing partner and affiliate programs, as well as work hand-in-hand with our BizDev & Commercial Programs org to secure and scale new partners and pilot new venture programs. The ideal candidate is a marketing enthusiast who is a master collaborator and has experience working across multiple functions, as this role will have hybrid responsibilities ranging across growth (paid), partner and product marketing.
Responsibilities
- Partner across marketing, business development, product, communications, and enablement to develop a robust new ventures and partnership roadmap
- Manage our affiliate marketing program and identify opportunities to scale into a meaningful growth channel
- Lead marketing and other partners to seamlessly execute initiatives that drive new homeowners and professionals to Thumbtack, using in product notifications, email, social media, SEM and other channels both on Thumbtack’s side, as well as our partners’
- Optimize the end-to-end conversion funnel for new ventures and partnerships, including building MVP landing pages using no-code tools and running a/b tests across marketing channels to test value propositions
- Develop go-to-market strategy, positioning, messaging, and channel strategy for new venture and partnership launches, with a bias towards iteration and experimentation as we’re seeking out Product Market fit for this lane
- Ensure proper tracking and attribution capabilities are in place to measure impact at each stage of the funnel
- Own reporting and communication of progress towards performance targets

Education: BS or BA, focus in marketing or quantitative discipline (Statistics, Business, Economics) preferred.
- 6-8+ years of marketing experience, including experience in partner, growth, and product marketing
- Strong ability to build relationships across functions, levels and organizations, seamlessly juggling the priorities of multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated project management experience, including executing complex projects with outstanding results
- Data-driven with a strong understanding of business drivers and a knack for using analytics to identify new opportunities and optimizations
