Your Impact

As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will be a pivotal force in ensuring seamless payroll operations across multiple regions, with a primary focus on Italy. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing start-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local legislation, and integrating efforts across various HR disciplines. By acting as a key advisor and leader, you will shape the development of new policies, guide cross-functional teams, and drive successful payroll outcomes.

 

What the Role Offers

- Comprehensive Responsibilities: Manage start-to-end payroll processing for Italy, France, and other international regions

- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with stakeholders including benefits, compensation & rewards teams, HR Business Partners, and HR Shared Services

- Leadership Opportunities: Direct the application of existing principles, guide new policy development, and lead teams to achieve results

- Risk Management: Oversee audits, compliance checks, and statutory reporting to mitigate risks

- Vendor Management: Handle relationships with payroll vendors and related service providers

- Project Involvement: Lead small projects and contribute significantly to large payroll projects

 

What You Need to Succeed

- Advanced Payroll Expertise: Extensive experience in start-to-end Italian payroll processing

- System Implementation Skills: Proven ability to manage payroll systems and implement changes effectively

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with HR Shared Services, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams

- Vendor Management: Competence in managing payroll and related vendors

- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Italian employment legislation, experience with Work Councils, and familiarity with various CBAs

- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

- Compliance and Tax Knowledge: Strong grasp of payroll compliance and tax calculations related to specific pay elements
