About the role

Description

AMHC is excited to announce their new opening for Cook/Cleaner at the Residential Treatment Facility in Presque Isle. The primary responsibility of the Cook/Cleaner is to plan and prepare meals for residents of the Residential Treatment Programs. This person prepares food by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, in line with established procedures to always ensure food safety. The person is responsible for all aspects of food service including meal planning, purchasing of food, cooking, coordination of meals and snacks to be prepared by others, cleaning of all equipment used for meal preparation, and maintenance of all appliances used for cooking and meal preparation. The Cook/Cleaner also cleans the kitchen thoroughly and provides cleaning for other parts of the building as identified. The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A diploma from a culinary school is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in menu planning and meal preparations for groups.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Responsible for preparing nutritious foods for the residents With Excellence in order to follow State and Federal guidelines, program policy and procedures, and licensing regulations.
  • Demonstrate Compassion and Respect towards our clients by being knowledgeable of any special dietary requirements needed.
  • Demonstrate AMHC's Integrity by following menu plans, preparation of meals, and portion size of meals making sure to monitor the appearance and taste appeal of food
  • Demonstrate AMHC's focus on Service by identifying situations in which medical, clinical, and administrative staff should be notified.
  • Collaborate with the team and clients to provide support in order to ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of the building is maintained at all times.

Schedule:

  • This is a 40-hour per week positions
