Summary
Develop test plans and test matrices, conduct testing, and report test results for system changes. Coordinate the implementation and debugging of new Software, ensuring that the new or modified applications work in the production environment and meet customers' expectations. Research and define system production issues and work with Information Systems on short—and long-term resolutions. May also partner with/communicate with other internal and external customers/plans.
Description
Logistics: This position is remote. The corporate office is at 4101 Percival Road in Columbia, SC. Peak season is October - February, and possible mandatory overtime may include weekends.
What You'll Do:
Review, analyze, assign, and lead major system projects or changes. Lead the test teams to review and develop test matrices and requests and provide necessary tools and information to assure accuracy. Attend project scope, design, and test plan walkthroughs. Perform quality checks and research/respond to any audits. Monitor systems for exceptions and other items requiring post-test attention during testing. Attend technical requirement meetings and make recommendations as needed for system design.
Review projects and change sheets. Attend Scope, Design, and Test Plan walkthroughs for major system projects. Coordinate testing and debugging of new or modified software. Create test matrices, train, and provide supporting documentation. Analyze technical documentation to create test plans/matrices and update statistical reporting software. Develop and execute formal test plans using analytical skills to ensure delivery of quality software applications.
Monitor software/ programs implemented to verify that changes to the system's operational process had the desired effect. During testing, analyze the system for exceptions and other items requiring post-test attention. Identify and document system problems and work with information systems and production areas for short-term and long-term solutions.
Define and evaluate quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Analyze test data for accuracy and status to inform customers whether it will enhance production operations. Create defect records based on analysis of test results to correct programming deficiencies. Create statistical information for Information systems and customers to track the progress of implementations.
Prepare reports and analyses on testing results and/or production issues, including customer recommendations on improving operational workflows.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in related processing support systems. Two (2) years of system testing or system testing development experience.
Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong business math skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Related systems support knowledge. Strong research and analytical skills. Attention to detail.
We Prefer That You Have the Following:
Inter-Plan Teleprocessing Services (ITS)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Management of Information Systems (MIS), or Business Administration.
Experience with DB2, TI TOOL, Access Database, Microsoft Excel and Quality Center.
