Business Systems Analyst
(Atlanta, Full-time, Hybrid)
Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a dynamic, forward-thinking IT team that values innovation and collaboration. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with stakeholder teams such as Business Process Optimization, Artificial & Business Intelligence, Information Governance & Security, Knowledge Management, and others to understand business needs, then identify technology or process-oriented solutions. This role helps bridge the gap between business and technical teams, enhancing outcomes through thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and targeted support — including the creation of documentation where it adds value.

Key Responsibilities
Cross-Departmental Engagement & Requirements Analysis
- Collaborate with legal and administrative departments to identify technology and innovation needs that support their operations and strategic goals
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions to gather and clarify business requirements related to data, systems, and process improvement
- Translate business needs into actionable insights and work products for technical teams, ensuring successful handoffs and effective outcomes
Process and Systems Optimization
- Partner with internal stakeholders and the Business Process Optimization Specialist to identify opportunities for workflow enhancements or system automation
- Support the evaluation of new tools, services, or integrations that may improve user experience, data quality, or operational efficiency
- Serve as a liaison between departments and the AI and IT teams to help prioritize solutions and align efforts with firm objectives
Data and Technology Mapping
- Contribute to the firm’s data inventory efforts by identifying critical data sources, owners, and system dependencies across departments
- Assist in tracking how data is used in business processes and reporting to inform system changes, integrations, or governance efforts
Knowledge Capture and Documentation
- Support the development of technical documentation when needed to ensure knowledge continuity and smooth project transitions
- Help curate and maintain key operational content in internal wikis or repositories, with support from technical writers or subject matter experts
- Work with the AI team to structure documentation for better discovery and interaction using generative AI tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience<
