Job Description

Job Title: Business System Analyst

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Job Type: Full Time with Benefits

 

You play a core role in the software development process. You'll own delivery of requirements, which is achieved by contributing specialist business analysis knowledge and providing product knowledge and context. Additionally, you'll acts as the conduit between the business customer, product owner and the delivery team. No two days will be the same as you identify, interpret, and define business need and features; translate them into requirements; and lead the process to visualize, document, and communicate functional product solutions used to design, build, and test the system. Do you have an aptitude to self-organize, be a teammate and foster a sense of team cohesion? Do you have experience working with a variety of partners and tailoring the message to the audience, changing the approach when needed.

 

You are the kind of person who has:

  • Experience investigating, evaluating, interpreting, and classifying business data using various techniques to meet business needs.
  • Understanding of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes, to make improvements.

You can expect to:

  • Capture requirements by demonstrating a variety of business analysis techniques.
  • Participate in detailed research related to our software and how it functions to meet client's requirements.
  • Critically analyze, negotiate and actively contribute to decisions on requirements. This includes engaging appropriate parties to facilitate the identification of problem and root cause, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to understand the vision and relay this into requirements.
  • Play an active role on the development team including contributing to the scrum ceremonies.
  • Understand current business environment, client and partner requirements and apply this knowledge to ensure that work you're doing meets the business requirements.
  • Craft, contribute to and maintain business analysis documentation, ensuring high level of specification completeness, quality and consistency.
  • Review and understand the requirements of our clients in the banking and financial industries and translate them into detailed specifications for use by the development team.
  • Incorporate approved improvements into the specification and documentation set on an ongoing basis and update the standards.
  • Basic qualifications for consideration:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with negotiation, problem solving, decision-making skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring others in the BSA\BA role.
  • Experience with WINS solutions stack (Windows Server, IIS, .Net, SQL Server).
  • Experience with wire frame tools such as Balsalmiq.
  • Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (TFS)\Jira and similar Agile development software tools.Experience writing analytical queries using T-SQL\SQL Server.
  • Experience with Agile\Scrum SDLC methodologies.
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Finance
