Job Title: Business Process Senior Consultant 

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Process Senior Consultant at our Newtown Square, PA location to leverage understanding of the SAP Analytics platform architecture and its relevant components, including data loads, data transfer, data modelling, and warehouse management for comprehensive solution support operations.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Additionally, drive the analysis of system landscape, technical issues, and assessment of core business processes for new generation SAP products like Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Group Reporting. Actively provide customer feedback to development, based on delivery and analysis of functional gaps via SAP services, and then work with development to close gaps. Implement specific best practice operations scenarios, including developing training, specifications and documentation. Ensure that services and documentation are available and up-to-date for the respective area of expertise. Deliver root cause analysis, performance optimization and assessments for SAP Analytics, Business Planning and Consolidation solutions.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve four (4) years in the following: 

• Perform solution support development and analysis in SAP’s Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) programming language within the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) product platform area; 

• Analyze and evaluate new or existing SAP BW configurations and strategies based on customer system requirements and convert the evolving customer system requirements into viable solution support blueprints; 

• Determine and implement SAP Best Practices for enhanced solution architecture, development, and configuration of BW objects, including data store objects (DSOs), transformations, extractors, and other components; 

• Create BW extractors, data models, and Business Explorer (BEx) queries using SAP Best Practices and SAP Layered Scalable Architecture (LSA); and 

• Deliver SAP specific services to customers and support account or sales teams. 

 

Travel: Position requires up to 20% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites.
