The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Business Operations Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join the Engineering Business Operations Team in Everett, Washington.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and dynamic team. This role requires both a strategic mind set, but also the ability to execute and resolve conflict often including varying levels of ambiguity. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who are agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans, and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements.
You will help drive business planning and decision making, operations, and business insights up and down the BCA value stream. A specific project for this role is developing a repeatable method of evaluating the BCA customer introduction impact across all BCA programs and showing Engineering has the capacity to support the resulting resource stack up customer introduction work.
Position Responsibilities:
Integrate with BCA Programs to provide visibility of Customer Introduction Engineering impacts, updating as program skylines and scenarios change
Develop and manage directives for Engineering Business Operations
Manage projects and strategic initiatives
Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization, such as sourcing strategy for commitment of work, cost imperatives, deployment analysis and impact mitigation
Provides frequent, clear, and concise communication to leadership within and external to the BCA Engineering and Business Operations organizations
Supports the coordination and clarifies the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals
Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies
Provides implementation direction for work authorization.
Provides coaching and mentorship to less experienced personnel
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years BCA Customer Introduction experience
3+ years prior Business Operations or related experience
5+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
5+ years of experience working across multiple business units and interfacing with key stakeholders
3+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
Experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules, mitigate risk and/or manage through
Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
3+ years of experience with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
3+ years of experience with program/project oversight & metrics reporting
Prior experience with Directives and Works Statement Authorization
Experience developing and integrating strategic projects, plans, and initiatives to meet business goals
Experience working in a dynamic work environment, to include managing multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
