Position Summary
The Business Leader for CES Products will be accountable for the Allentown, Elon, Superior, and RegO China. The Leader will be responsible for the P&L for these locations with primary responsibility over engineering, customer service and technical support and strategic sourcing with
manufacturing, supply chain, quality, customer service, engineering, product management and sales. They will work with regional distribution/indirect & direct sales teams, key account management, to bring in the P&L for the region.
Reporting to VP/GM CES, the Business Leader for Acme/Rego Products will own the execution of approved strategic initiatives for an approximate $200M (USD) P&L. They will develop and implement operational strategies to drive profitable growth with a strong focus on operational excellence, improvement of business processes and customer satisfaction.
From a commercial perspective, the General Manager CES Products will work closely with the commercial functions to drive the revenue performance for all CES Products such as Valves, Manifolds, Vaporizers to ensure annual operating plans are met and exceeded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the profit and loss (P&L) for the CES Product operations, with a strong focus on meeting the annual financial targets and profitability goals.
- Lead and coordinate the operations in the region ensuring alignment with senior management objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational effectiveness & efficiency, reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources and optimize footprint across the region.
- Provide leadership for the CES management teams to ensure a culture of high-performance, accountability, professional development, and ethical behavior.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships in coordination with the wider CES commercial teams.
- Champion a process and metrics-driven culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement (key KPIs include bookings, revenue, gross margin, operating profit; quality, inventory on hand and inventory turns, days sales/payables outstanding, productivity, on-time delivery, and total recordable incident rate).
- Lead monthly financial and operational reviews, tracking progress against targets and deploying countermeasures as needed.
- Participate in corporate strategic planning and implement enterprise strategic goals and objectives.
- Lead capital and operational planning and budgeting and resource allocation.
- Work closely with the commercial teams across CES to establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales metrics for customer segments, products, and regions.
- Maintain an updated view on market & sales volumes by tracking changing market trends, economic indicators, customer feedback and competition analysis.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Ten years of operations and commercial leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including five years progressive management experience in a $150m+ company.
