We’re searching for a Business Development Manager to join our team. This remote position plays a pivotal role in the identification, development, and evaluation of growth practices within the Firm. This role will drive business development initiatives, support sales coaching for subject matter experts (SMEs), develop partnerships with service lines to identify areas of growth and coordinate the training of development programs.

Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related experience.
- Proficient in CRM software, marketing analysis tools, and business development platforms.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related fields.
- 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related experience.
- Business Development Professional (BDP)
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
- Sandler Essentials Certification and Sandler Sales Mastery Certification
- Prior experience in Hubspot, social selling, and other lead generation technologies.
- Prior experience in public accounting or another professional services organization.
- Knowledge of how a University athletic department works.
Travel
- Regular same day travel for work at other James Moore & Co. P.L. office locations, firm events, training, or engagements using a personal vehicle.
- Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay for work at other James Moore & Co. P.L. office locations, firm events, training, or engagements using personal vehicle or other transportation.
What you will do in this role:
- Identify and generate new qualified leads through a variety of channels, including networking, cold/warm calling, email outreach, and social media platforms.
- Drive the sales pipeline by initiating and maintaining ongoing communication with potential clients, following up diligently to move them through the sales funnel.
- Support the closing of business deals by addressing client inquiries, demonstrating value, and assisting SMEs with proposal meetings.
- Uncover new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up.
- Reach out to Athletic departments at Universities that are clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic client relationships to identify growth opportunities, expand service offerings, and deepen client engagement across the organization.
