Job Summary

Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our sales team.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements

• Focus on increasing market share in key areas through sales growth in targeted new accounts.
• Identify and recruit potential new target accounts; accounts must be reviewed and approved as new account targets by the general manager.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders within new target accounts.
• Lead and manage the activities related to onboarding new accounts and establishing initial sales.
• Collaborate with management and the sales team to ensure the long-term service and profitability of the target accounts.
• Work in partnership directly with district sales managers to select the district sales representative to manage the account long-term, while remaining connected to the account to ensure ongoing sales and profitability.
• Must be able to build relationships with customers and articulate the company’s brand and culture.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work in partnership with internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives.
• Must be able to attend to details to ensure company policies and procedures are appropriately completed in a timely manner.
• Must be able to overcome challenges in complex situations to ensure customer’s needs and established expectations are satisfied.
• Must be able to plan and organize people and processes to achieve established objectives.
• Requires computer and typing proficiency.
• Requires experience in food distribution/processing sales or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
