Business Development Manager/Director – Remote - Falls Church, VA

Role and Responsibilities 

• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential IT services proposals, contracts, and IDIQ opportunities within the state and local government sectors.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and other relevant stakeholders in government agencies to understand their needs and position our services effectively.
• Develop and implement strategies to pursue new business opportunities, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), crafting proposals, and presenting our solutions to government agencies.
• Exhibit strong sales and negotiation skills to effectively communicate the value proposition of IT solutions, win new business, and exceed assigned bookings and revenue targets.

Minimum Qualification

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, focusing on state and local government agencies.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local government procurement processes, regulations, and contracting vehicles.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, including procurement officers and key decision-makers.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of IT solutions and services and win new business.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets and contribute to revenue growth.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualification

• At least two (2) years of experience overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of IT-related projects delivered on time and budget within the state and local government sectors.
