SUMMARY: Provide assistance for various activities related to Business Development including market research, prospecting, lead generation and qualification

 

WAGE TYPE:  Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt

 

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT/INTERNSHIP: Full time hours – Summer; Part-time hours – School year.

  • Contact potential customers
  • Develop:
    • Marketing Strategies/Material
    • Business Development Strategies/Material
  • Market Research:
    • Existing and potential markets, customers, competitors, products
  • Coordinate/Manage
    • Customer Visits
    • Internal & External Meetings
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to:  National Sales Manager
  • Supervises: N/A

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

 

Education and Experience:

Expected: Minimum sophomore standing and currently pursuing bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Preferred: Pursuing bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or Engineering

 

Communication Skills:

  • Very strong communication skills - written, verbal, presentation (PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

 

Other Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be a self-starter and able to ask questions to complete assignments on-time and with attention to detail
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
