We are looking for a Business Development Associate who can identify potential clients, research relevant organizations, and initiate thoughtful outreach that leads to high-quality advisory conversations.
This is not a volume sales role. The focus is on research, credibility, and well-targeted introductions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Research & Identification
Identify founders, organizations, and leadership teams that may benefit from strategic communications advisory.
Monitor sectors where narrative risk, regulatory attention, or reputation complexity may arise.
Build a curated pipeline of potential clients aligned with the firm’s advisory focus.
2. Strategic Outreach
Initiate thoughtful outreach via email, LinkedIn, and warm introductions.
Communicate the firm’s positioning clearly and credibly.
Schedule initial discovery conversations with qualified prospects.
3. Relationship Development
Maintain ongoing relationships with founders, operators, investors, and advisors.
Nurture conversations that may convert into advisory engagements over time.
Build a network of referral sources.
4. Market Intelligence
Track narrative trends in startups, technology, policy, and public discourse.
Identify moments where organizations may require communications strategy or reputation advisory.
5. CRM & Pipeline Management
Maintain a structured database of prospects and conversations.
Track outreach, responses, and follow-ups.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Background
