As a Business Analytics Consultant Sr. within PNC's Balance Sheet Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This position sits within PNC’s Balance Sheet Management function, providing modeling and analytics support to PNC. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s
discretion.

Ideal candidate possesses a Master’s or PhD from a STEM-focused curriculum. Preferred degrees include STEM designated economics programs, applied math or statistics, financial engineering, financial mathematics, or other statistically-intensive programs.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver financial reporting performance metrics to key internal stakeholders and leadership, including Asset-Liability Management, Balance Sheet Analytics, and Finance and Accounting.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on the bank’s interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) and liquidity risk exposure.
• Perform in-depth reviews of methodologies, assumptions, and scenarios used by the first-line function for ALM modeling and balance sheet management.
• Leverage SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python, and/or QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) to streamline data analysis, and address modeling needs.
• Partner with Model Risk Management and other risk stakeholders in reviewing the validity and reliability of assumptions to identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Description

• Leads the analytics processes across multiple functions or business units leveraging an array of complex analytical tools to create data driven solutions. Serves as mentor to more junior employees.
• Consults with clients and mentors consultants on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
• Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
• Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
• Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.
