Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Business Analyst to join our State-based Exchange oversight team. The ideal candidate has an eye for analyzing policy, process, and data and will work closely with the team to support health initiatives based on business needs, innovation, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a keen understanding of program goals, requirements, and subject matter to exceed customer expectations as an advisory contributor.
  • Take initiative, follow-through, and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring only limited supervision.
  • Contribute to internal and external SharePoint organization through activities like data mapping, maintaining lists and organized repositories of project information and data, version control.
  • Provide quality assurance through review and testing of data collection instruments, SharePoint modifications, and enhancements made to systems used by the customer. Document and explain findings.
  • Draft and maintain standard operating procedures and working instructions. Contribute to user guides.
  • Perform media scans for State-based Exchange information and summarize findings verbally and in writing.
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal and external groups and stakeholders
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and organize information
  • Gather and document requirements
  • Take detailed meeting notes
  • Proactively contribute to the continual process improvement lifecycle using specialized skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the execution of project or task plan and assess the impact of industry trends, policy or standard methodologies.
  • Conducts activities in support of the project team’s objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Possesses knowledge in policy or computer science or similar field or discipline.
  • Three to five years minimum of prior work experience with the following skillset
    • Must have strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems of diverse scope and make data driven decisions.
    • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote
    • Must have excellent SharePoint skills and ability to utilize SharePoint lists to organize data
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have experience eliciting and documenting business requirements
    • Strong understanding of quality control practices
    • Demonstrated understanding of issues and working towards resolution.
    • Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with a geographically dispersed project team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Must have a commitment to continuous learning and application of that knowledge to your work.
  • Residency Requirements: US Citizen and have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services experience
  • State-based or Federally Facilitated Health Insurance Exchange experience
  • Requirements analysis
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Experience working in an agile scrum solution development environment using Jira
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Affordable Care Act.
