The Standard Solutions group at Solar Turbines is at the forefront of developing innovative products and tools that drive success for our customers across diverse industries. We are seeking a motivated and creative Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoy thinking outside the box, this role is for you.
Position Overview:
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with a global cross-functional team to design, develop and implement software tools utilizing Agile development methodologies. This is a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to work with new technologies to modernize legacy software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the product owner, technical architect, software developers and stakeholders to write detailed functional specifications to develop and implement modern software tools to support product design, testing and validation.
- Develop detailed user acceptance test plans and training documents.
- Train business users on using the new software tools.
Degree Requirement :
A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
What You Need To Have:
Technical Excellence:
- At least 5 years of experience with writing functional specifications and test plans to develop and implement software tools.
Effective Communications:
- The ability to effectively communicate with end users and business leaders.
Top Candidates Will Have:

- Experience in modernizing legacy software tools.
- Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
Managing Multiple Priorities:
- A sense of urgency and organizational skills are required to work with multiple projects and competing priorities.

Summary Pay Range:
$120,299.00 - $180,449.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
