About the role

Concept Plus is seeking a highly capable, self-driven Business Analyst (BA) to support a critical software modernization initiative for our client. This position plays a key role in analyzing mission-focused requirements, streamlining processes, and enhancing decision-making for operations.

As the strategic link between operational objectives and technology solutions, the BA will translate complex business needs into actionable insights and support the successful execution of priorities—all while ensuring alignment with client compliance standards.

This role operates within a collaborative Agile and DevSecOps framework to ensure secure, timely, and iterative delivery of capabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and brings a deep understanding of both business processes and technological integration.

What you'll do

You will be working with a skilled team in an agile environment to support an application modernization effort where you will be expected to:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with clientpolicies and objectives.
• Conduct data analysis and risk assessments to support defense strategies and operational efficiency.
• Develop detailed documentation, including process flows, business case studies, and compliance reports.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive mission-focused solutions and capability enhancements.
• Work closely with technical teams to implement secure system improvements that meet client cybersecurity standards.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, providing actionable reports to leadership and government officials.
• Communicate with team, customers, and stakeholders in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner.
• Support documentation needs such as SLA’s, Software Design documents, SOP’s, etc.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field; An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within a DoD or government contracting environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies in federal or defense settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
