We are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of business processes and workflows. This role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, identifying inefficiencies, and designing innovative solutions aligned with organizational and client needs. The ideal candidate will create detailed documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), leverage tools like SQL and Power BI for actionable insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.

The Business Analyst will work with implementation teams to ensure SAAS and COTS product configurations align with business needs and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases and facilitating testing sessions. Acting as a strategic partner, the analyst will collaborate with leaders to translate requirements into project plans and drive continuous improvement through process optimization and innovative solutions.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Master’s degree or relevant advanced degree preferred

Work Experience

• 5+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the health care industry

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Extensive experience in ambiguous and complex business functions; using data and expertise to facilitate business decision making.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices is a plus.

Essential Functions

• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Lead capability definition and gap analysis sessions to assess current workflows, systems, and resources, identifying gaps and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and use cases to articulate business needs and solution specifications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, developers, designers, and project managers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable project plans.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, impact assessments, and risk evaluations to support decision-making.
• Utilize data modeling and analysis techniques, including SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, to uncover trends and inform decisions.
• Apply expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, ensuring proper documentation and execution of associated ceremonies and artifacts.
• Ensure SAAS and COTS products are configured and customized according to business requirements while supporting system integrations and APIs.
• Prepare and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, including test case development and solution validation against business and technical criteria.
• Use visual modeling tools such as Visio or Lucidchart to create process diagrams, including Data Flow and Process Flow Diagrams, to support analysis and system design.
