Role

A Senior Business Analyst gathers, documents, and analyzes requirements to define the client’s business needs accurately. The successful candidate will play a highly visible, client facing, and consultative role. S/he can offer system solutions to enhance client implementations and transform client workflow and business processes. The individual will act as the business liaison between the client and technical team and provide support throughout the project development life cycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Leading large, multi-functional requirements workshops to elicit client-specific requirements
• Consulting clients on which product changes only require a simple configuration change vs. those which require more careful consideration because of the upstream product impact
• Documenting use cases, functional specifications, and interactive prototyping
• Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships and appropriately managing client expectations
• Performing system process analysis to identify interface points and workflow considerations
• Escalating concerns and issues to Program and Product Leadership
• Performing market and competitive research to assure OneShield’s continued growth in industry
• Working alongside Product Manager to build near and long-term product roadmaps

Desired Skills

• Understanding of Insurance Billing domain including agency bill, direct bill & installment plans
• Experience working on billing integrations including payment integrations, General Ledger systems and financial reporting
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, appropriate to both technical and senior business audiences
• Ability to create high quality use Cases and supporting documentation
• High level of self-confidence
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems as they arise
• Aptitude to learn and demonstrate strong knowledge of OneShield suite of products
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to compile and provide sound task estimations
• Ability to produce quality work on an aggressive timeline
• Experience in both waterfall and agile development environments

Education

• Full-time Bachelors’ degree

Experience

• 3+ years of recent Property & Casualty insurance experience across various lines of business
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Consulting experience (strongly preferred)
