The Business Administrator II, under general supervision, performs advanced administrative functions within Human Resources to support faculty employment activities and academic workforce needs. Coordinates and performs the creation, posting, and processing of actions in the HRIS System or related systems. Develops, implements, evaluates, and manages staffing processes in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements, best practices, and university or agency needs. Provides expertise to supervisors and employees with workday and staffing related questions. 

Position is in office at the Stephenville Campus with work hours of Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm or as work requirements indicate. Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours. Work hours may vary during peak season. No visa sponsorship is available for this role. Must be able to work remotely at the discretion of the University. 


Responsibilities: 

• Coordinates the creation, posting, and processing of actions in Workday by connecting

with and training administrative personnel. Primary duties include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Supervises the support and assistance of employees and managers in staffing and/or payroll related functions (data changes). 

• May coordinate complex academic affairs staffing functions including position reclassifications and promotion to support the Tenure & Promotion process.

• Develops, implements, evaluates, and reviews faculty staffing related processes in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements, best practices, and university needs. 

• Oversees the maintenance of faculty records and ensures the accuracy of

files and compliance with applicable Texas A&M University System rules/regulations, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board r
