Bus Driver

Anticipated Bus Driver position- 15-passenger and/or 52-passenger (CDL and/or Non CDL)
Reports To: Athletic Director/ Assistant Athletic Director
Employee Status: Part Time – capped at 10 hours per week 
Non-Exempt (entitled to overtime)

Salary:  $28.50 per hour

Duties:  

1. This position is an hourly school-year position. (2 hours a day in the morning. EST 5:45 - 7:45AM) 5 days a week
2. This position is responsible to drive all possible runs each and every day for students commuting to/from campus
3. This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance, inspection, and cleanliness of all buses and vans owned by Cheverus.
4. This position will be responsible for conducting Pre-Trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe Operation.
5. This position will be responsible for conducting post-trip vehicle inspections.
6. This position will be responsible for attending and participating in required safety meetings.
7. This position will be responsible for cleaning bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive school image.
8. Responsible for other job-related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director.

Qualifications:

1. For 15-passenger bus: must hold a valid Maine drivers license and show a safe driving record
2. For 52-passenger school bus:  must hold a valid Class B, CDL Maine Drivers License, P (Passenger) Endorsement and S (Student) Endorsement
3. Must be At least 21 years of age
4. Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
5. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and possess good communication skills 
6. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, administrators, students and parents
7. Must have a work history demonstrating dependability and reliability
8. Must submit to Drug and Alcohol DOT regulated testing
9. Valid State of Maine Criminal History Records Check (CHRC endorsement) preferred
