OVERVIEW:

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking Warehouse employees to join our distribution center team in Plainfield, IN. We are hiring Full Time opportunities! 

Shifts:

Weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30am - 7:15pm *earn $1.25/hr more

Positions Available:

Material Handler: $19.25/hr + $1.25/hr

Job Description:

Handling of plastic recycling. Gathering plastic gaylords in all areas of building. Baling of the plastic and returning gaylords back to designated locations · Move and stack plastic and wooden skids into their designated area. Load trailers with bad skids utilizing specialized equipment (clamp truck) as needed. · General housekeeping of designated areas of the DC. Emptying trash dumpsters. Dusting guard rails, column buddies, fans, dock lights, wrappers, opportunity chargers and other areas as assigned. Operate industrial sweeper and other equipment as necessary to perform basic housekeeping tasks of the role. · Cross-train and transfer into other departments as necessary to support the needs of the business. · Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must achieve equipment operator certification on the job and operate as necessary for the position

• Must be willing to be trained and operate radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as necessary for the position

• Must pass a background check and drug screen

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively

• Ability to keep pace with production standards

• Basic reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills 

• Manual dexterity 

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
