Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Building Engineer I who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Building Engineer I you will:
• Perform basic daily service requests, responding to work orders.
• Determine type and extent of malfunctions and adjusts, repairs or replaces parts or components, reassembles and tests for proper operation.
• Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and safety policies Schedules and completes the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Perform daily routine maintenance rounds and inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities within assigned areas for proper operation and working condition Monitors and maintains all building systems as assigned.
• Report more serious problems to supervisor for instructions or maintenance scheduling while following safety protocol
• Assume other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area.

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Three years’ experience working for a mechanical or general contractor, or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment
• Relevant industrial or hospital experience preferred
• Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field Preferred
• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Background Check
• Successful completion of ASHE Environmental Worker certification within 6 months from date of hire
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Full time 6:30 - 3:00 Monday thru Friday
