KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR A BUILDING ATTENDANT/HOUSEKEEPER:
A Building Attendant must be a knowledgeable professional in the Custodial Field to ensure the proper cleaning and safety standards are upheld. The following are Key Areas of Knowledge for a Building Attendant (training is provided):
· Proper Usage of All Cleaning Supplies, Materials, and Equipment
· Chemical Safety
· Full Safety Training
· Customer Service Skills
EXPECTATIONS OF BUILDING ATTENDANT/HOUSEKEEPER:
A Building Attendant is expected to work 40 hours each week, including one day on the Weekend (either Sunday or Saturday, but not both) and have the schedule flexibility to work events during the week in the evenings (e.g. Youth Services or a Women’s Night) if needed.
Other expectations include:
· Clocking in and out
· Professional appearance and adherence to dress code
· Working a consistent schedule (8:00am-4:30pm when not working an event)
· Communicating with Oversight and Team Members regularly
· Giving reasonable notice for absences
· Adhering to absence policies
TASKS OF BUILDING ATTENDANT/HOUSEKEEPER:
A Building Attendant is expected to accomplish the full cleaning and maintaining of the Campus and Administrative Building as part of a team. The following contains a list of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks assigned to a Building Attendant:
Daily Cleaning and Maintaining of the Campus and Admin Building
Areas to be cleaned and maintained throughout the day include:
o Lobbies
o Auditorium
o Classrooms
o Restrooms
o Common Areas
o Workspaces
o Hallways
o Entryways
o Building Exteriors
· Tasks Include:
o Deep Restroom Clean Including:
- Full Wipe Down of Partitions, Toilet Seats, Sinks, and Any Other Required Surfaces
- Scrubbing Toilet Bowls
- Mopping Floors
- Restocking All Supplies, Including:
- · Toilet Paper
- · Paper Towels
- · Monthly Disposal Bags
- · Soap
- · Personal Hygiene Products
o Cleaning Desks/Tables/Counters
o Disinfecting Surfaces
o Removing/Emptying Trash
o Dusting Ledges, Vents, Corners, TV’s, Classrooms
o Vacuuming Carpeted Floors
o Sweeping and Spot Mopping Restroom or Any Hard Floors
o Laundering Linens and Microfibers
o Assisting with event setups if needed
· Other Duties of a Building Attendant Include:
o Participating in Team Meetings
o Completing Organizational/Departmental Initiatives, Trainings, and Reviews
o Responding to Requests from Staff Members/Customers
o Support the Southlake Campus with Major Ministry Events During the Year
