Blue Yonder Technical Application Analyst:
One of the fastest growing retailers in the nation, BJ’s Wholesale Club is adding to its dynamic team of communicators to help support the channels and platforms we use to inform our members, team members, and communities we live in. We are looking for talented and eager collaborators to join our team and help redefine how we create and share our messages.

The Senior Application Developer is responsible for participating in the management of the design, development, and enhancement of the applications and software platforms supported by their respective development team members. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Apply technical vision and experience to design innovative and pragmatic solutions, Apply leadership skills to lead small-medium cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle culminating in successful application deployments Function as a team liaison and interface with all levels of management and the business user community Serve as mentor and training resource for other team members Evolve our standards and processes based on industry best practices and compliance standards such BJ's SDLC as well as SOX, PCI, and PII regulations. Provide on-call support (as needed) for our applications.

The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and work well cross-functionally with a variety of IT supporting teams as well as other internal teams including DC Operations, Logistics, Transportation, Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing applications and processes in a manner to provide an exemplary Internal & External customer experience.

  • Responsible for documenting and implementing ongoing configuration changes in Supply Chain Planning Solutions and related systems (including fulfillment, order optimization, replenishment, allocation) to support changing customer requirements.

  • Provide day to day support, coaching, and training to teams supporting internal Blue Yonder Planning Solutions users & team members.

  • Lead on small to large scale initiatives and co-ordinate project development activities.

  • Review and improve development artifacts for standards, compliance and functionality in a peer-peer or team setting.

  • Guide, mentor and develop other staff members.

  • Subject Matter Expert of processes and systems.

  • Research, implement and improve integration stack using cloud technologies and latest trends

  • Resolve issues in a timely, accurate, and customer service focused manner – ensuring issue is properly documented in appropriate IT Service Desk Tools

  • In conjunction with Information Technology management, manage systemic improvements as they occur.

  • Responsible for being a subject matter expert in the following areas: Warehouse Management & Labor Management

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Systems Management, Information Technology, or related field required. 5+ years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
