Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a Capture Manager to join our Business Development Team. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and is expected to be an agile and self-reliant government contracting expert who wants to be a part of a high-performing business development team.

The Capture Manager will work collaboratively across the organization with Directors, Program Managers, Business Development and Proposal staff to identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities aligned with BryceTech’s strategic growth objectives.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of the GovCon market, including Federal Civilian agencies such as NASA, HHS, DHS, DoT, DoE, VA, EPA, GSA, and others. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Capture Leadership – Developing and executing capture strategies for high-value, full and open, and small business set-aside opportunities.
  • Pipeline Development & Management – Growing a dynamic multi-year pipeline, ensuring opportunities progress through the lifecycle from identification to award.
  • Customer & Market Engagement – Building and maintaining relationships with key government decision-makers, program managers, and contracting officials.
  • Teaming & Partnering Strategy – Establishing and managing relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, and strategic partners to enhance competitiveness.
  • Proposal Execution & Competitive Positioning – Leading and supporting proposal development efforts, price-to-win strategies, solution differentiation, and Black Hat reviews to maximize award success.
  • Lead Solutioning and Positioning for Captures – Developing win strategies and leading intergration of corporate resources and expertise to support strong, high p-win bids that support and mature the BryceTech brand.
  • Participate in Strategic Planning – Supporting the Chief Growth Officer by providing market and industry insight to support alignment of business development priorities, allocation of corporate resources, and ensuring alighnment with corporate objectives.  
  • Cross-Functional Capture and Proposal Support – Initially, while the current Biosecurity and Emerging Health Capture Manager is projected to remain in place through July 2025, the newly hired capture manager’s focus will be on supporting capture opportunities across BryceTech and assisting with proposal development and review as needed. Additionally, as part of a dynamic small business environment, the capture manager will periodically be asked to lead capture efforts outside of the primary market, when such opportunities align with BryceTech’s strategic objectives and overall business growth. This role requires flexibility and a company-first mindset, ensuring we maximize our ability to compete effectively across multiple domains.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record of winning $50M+ complex government contracts in the Federal Civilian space, with experience in full lifecycle business development, capture, and proposal execution
  • Deep knowledge of the GovCon market, including Federal procurement trends, contracting vehicles (e.g., IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, and agency-specific MACs), and acquisition strategies
  • Strong customer relationships across multiple Federal Civilian agencies (e.g., HHS, DHS, DoT, DoE, VA, EPA, GSA, etc.)
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies, including teaming, pricing, competitive analysis, and solution differentiation
  • Experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus) and different capture scenarios (incumbent capture, major re-competes, sole-source strategies, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, program managers, contracting officials, and industry partners
  • Strong writing skills, and ability to author white papers, RFIs, proposals, and participate in development of relevant marketing and branding materials
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to man
