Job Description

Use civil engineering knowledge to coordinate with Cost/Schedule Engineers for reporting of construction progress, cost and schedule status for civil engineering construction projects. Assist with identification, tracking and resolution of issues. Coordinate with Senior Inspector to resolve Deficiency Notices and other quality issues for civil engineering construction projects. Assist Project Engineer in maintenance of record and as built drawings and change tracking for civil engineering construction projects. Review Inspectors shift reports and other records for accuracy and quality. Coordinate with Office Engineers regarding progress photos and documents needed to support construction progress meetings and reports. Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly and ad hoc technical reports and resolution of claims for civil engineering construction projects. Identify design conflicts and coordinate with General Contractor through BIM modeling process. Extract project data/report from BIM as required. Utilize Revit, NavisWorks, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Masters degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field and six months of experience in the job offered or an engineering-related occupation.

Position requires experience with:

1. Assisting project engineers in maintenance of record and as built drawings and change tracking for civil engineering construction projects;
2. Reviewing Inspectors shift reports and other records for accuracy and quality;
3. Coordinating with Office Engineers regarding process photos and documents needed to support construction progress meetings and reports;
4. Assisting with preparation of weekly, monthly and ad hoc technical reports and resolution of claims for civil engineering construction projects;
5. Utilizing BIM application in construction management; and
6. Utilizing Revit, NavisWorks, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Additional Information

Offered rate of compensation (New York city locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $89,890 - $107,001.
