The Job:
As the Director, Communications-Supply Chain & Operations you will drive a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the company’s global supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a “downstream” communication system that effectively manages and tracks communication needs across the company’s two business units, regions, and over 200 manufacturing sites. This includes building and implementing communication strategies tailored to the specific needs of each business unit and ensuring a seamless flow of information from leadership down to the sites.
You will also establish a structured communication cadence aimed at reaching our factory teams, whom we call our "Makers." Your work will be essential in supporting the leaders responsible for various supply chain functions and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging that aligns with the company's objectives. This role will involve overseeing special communication projects, developing engagement initiatives, and supporting transformation efforts at all operational levels.
As a Director, Communications-Supply Chain & Operations, you’ll be part of our Internal Communications team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to:
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Design and execute tailored communication plans that address the unique needs of the supply chain organization, including the two business units and regions/sectors within. This will involve partnering closely with leaders to understand their goals and crafting a structured approach to effectively engage their teams.
- Build Downstream Communication Systems: Establish and maintain a system to manage and track communication requests and support leaders in cascading key messages across the supply chain structure. This includes ensuring alignment on messaging and strategy across all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to on-the-ground site teams.
- Direct Communications for the “Makers”: Develop an engagement and communication cadence specifically for our "Makers," aimed at fostering a strong sense of connection to the company’s mission and goals. This includes creating impactful content and facilitating regular touchpoints that resonate with our site teams.
- Support Business Transformation and Change Management: Play a critical role in driving communication efforts that support business transformation initiatives, particularly those focused on talent, culture, and operational excellence. Implement progressive change management strategies to engage employees and reinforce a unified supply chain identity.
- Content Creation and Creative Development: Create compelling, high-quality content for a range of communication channels, including internal announcements, social media, videos, graphic assets, podcasts, and webinars. Develop engaging narratives and talking points for key initiatives, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across all touchpoints.
- Enhance Employee Engagement and Recognition Programs: Lead communication initiatives that enhance company image among employees, increase engagement, and build a sense of pride in our supply chain operations. Support related projects, such as feedback analysis, employee surveys, and rewards & recognition programs.
- Travel: approximately 20%
The Person:

- Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility in Communications, Marketing, or related field, with demonstrated experience leveraging communication tools to support key strategic initiatives (experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industry preferred)
- Proven experience in a senior-level communications role with
