Technical Account ManagerAbout Your Role
As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will serve as the strategic technical architect for Fiserv’s Tier 1 global clients. You aren't just troubleshooting; you are bridging the gap between complex business requirements and our world-class payments infrastructure. You will be the "connective tissue" between the client’s engineering teams and Fiserv’s product engines, ensuring that our largest partners (including PayFacs and Marketplaces) scale with reliability and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Consultancy: Act as a subject matter expert for API/SDK integrations, gateways, and cloud-native payment flows, leading design conversations up to the C-suite and Senior Architect level.
- Fiserv Navigator: Own the technical relationship firm-wide, navigating Fiserv’s distributed technology stack to resolve bottlenecks and advocate for client-requested feature enhancements.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all technical efforts for key accounts, providing high-level guidance during mission-critical events and ensuring SLA compliance.
- Strategic Partnership: Conduct face-to-face discovery sessions with client stakeholders, vendors, and 3rd parties to future-proof their payment architectures.
Experience You’ll Need to Have
- Core Experience: 8+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Solution Architecture, or Technical Implementations within the Payments or Fintech industry.
- Platform Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Merchant Acquiring platforms, including a working knowledge of payment specs, ISO 8583, REST APIs, and SDKs.
- Fiserv/Industry Knowledge: 8+ years of experience within the Fiserv ecosystem (Merchant Acquiring) OR equivalent experience at a major competitor (e.g., PayPal, Adyen, Stripe, Global Payments) with a focus on complex acquiring platforms.
- Client Advisory: 3+ years in a client-facing technical leadership role, specifically gathering requirements for enterprise-level deployments.
- Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of POI/POS systems, card-not-present flows, and end-to-end payment processing.
Experience That Would Be Great to Have
Payment Innovation: Direct experience with Payment Facilitator (PayFac) or Marketplace business models.
Regulatory Rigor: Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, Card Brand Regulations, and KYC/AML compliance.
Infrastructure: Understanding of networking/connectivity architecture (Firewalls, TLS, Cloud integration).

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
