The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France  to the DMV area. We have expanded to seven retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year .

About The Role:

Join the Fresh Baguette team as a Purchaser and Warehouse Operator and become an integral part of ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our supply chain and warehouse operations. This is an hourly, full-time position where you will utilize your skills in procurement, inventory management, equipment operation, and teamwork in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your contributions will directly support our organization's logistical and operational success while preparing, receiving, storing, and delivering materials and products.

Shifts:

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00AM-3:00PM
• 5 days a week
• Flexibility for weekends and different hours is required

What You'll Do:

• Maintain inventory management systems to ensure accurate records of stock levels.
• Oversee receiving, labeling, picking, packing, and loading of trucks.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, packaging machines, scales and printing devices.
• Collaborate with other departments, staff groups, and customers to ensure timely procurement and distribution of materials and products.
• Stack and palletize products for efficient storage and transport.
• Relabel and relocate materials as needed to optimize warehouse organization.
• Follow established procedures for receiving, storing, picking, and unloading trucks.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and protocols within the warehouse environment.
• Assist in any other activity inside-outside Cap8 required by superiors
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, health, safety, and security standards throughout the facility.
• Inspect, prepare, load, unload, and operate delivery vehicles as required.
• Serve as a backup driver when needed to ensure timely deliveries.
• Adapt to varied working conditions, including temperature extremes, aligning with regional climate conditions.
• Assist the warehouse manager or team leads with any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a warehouse member.
• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using technology, including smartphones, computers, and email systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Solid problem-solving capabilities with the ability to handle frequent interruptions and competing priorities.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of safety practices when using tools and equipment.
