Meet the team:

As a Senior Technical Project Manager in the Hardware Department at Dexcom, you will be an integral part of our dynamic and collaborative Hardware team.  You will work closely with experienced professionals who are passionate about leveraging technology to make a positive impact on patients and individuals. You will be working in a fast-pace cross-functional environment demonstrating rigor and sense of urgency.

You will develop, prepare, and ensure all hardware deliverables (technical and project) are well understood by the team. You will be responsible for synthesizing and executing the project work breakdown structures, schedules, budget, project charter, resources, and project risk into an integrated plan. You will identify critical interdependencies to drive successful execution of the overall project. You will resolves issues, conflicts, and project bottlenecks as they arise, negotiating effectively with others. You will drive recovery effort so issues do not impact overall schedule. You will lead teams to appropriately challenge assumptions and thoroughly identify the project and technical risks. You will be the primary point of contact for the project with the Hardware Product Owner, as appropriate, and interface with Integrators technical issues, Managers on resource issues and Executive Sponsor / leaders on project issues. You will lead the team through Go/No-Go decisions on projects, ensuring that decisions are informed by a balanced and clearly articulated representation of the relevant data. You will lead team meetings, develops and manages agenda, minutes, and follow up action items. You will organize and deliver presentations to management. You will ensure projects run in compliance with Design Control Regulations. You will embrace and practice the Dexcom Product Development Process (PDP)

Experience leading technical teams through a medical device product development lifecycle on complex electromechanical systems Demonstrated analytical, decision making, prioritization and problem-solving skills Resolves issues, conflicts, and project bottlenecks as they arise, negotiating effectively with others. Drives recovery effort so issues do not impact overall schedule. Demonstrated ability to successfully influence people and teams at all levels without direct authority.  Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and ambiguity to drive clarity and deliver results. Interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and reconcile differences, while optimizing overall organizational goals is required. Strong horizontal and vertical communicator; represents self and program with an executive presence. Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills along with effective meeting management and group facilitation abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills Strong financial acumen (creating and tracking budgets) Demonstration of significant contributions and accomplishments is highly desired. Experience working on phases within a NPD cycle and/or track record of successfully delivering new products through entire development cycle is highly desired Practical working knowledge of the following:

  • FDA 21 CFR Part 820 / Design Controls / Design History File

  • ISO 13485 / 14971; IEC 62304/62366

  • FDA/MDD/MDR/ CE

  • Risk Management

  • Verification/Validation

  • Six Sigma
