About the role
The Financial Analyst II is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data to aid decision-making. Key duties include financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. They maintain data integrity, monitor KPIs, and assist with month-end reporting/closing duties. Candidates typically have, at minimum, 2 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting-related field.

- Financial Theory: Understands business principles and accounting fundamentals (GAAP).
- Project Management: support new initiatives, participate in project implementation and business process improvement.
- Compliance: Thorough understanding of internal and external policies and regulations, including maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Presentation: Present financial results, analyses, outlook, and plans within department and to other business partners.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, deliver insights, and support business decision‑making.
- Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to explain performance drivers and communicate findings to leadership.
- Support the budgeting process, including data collection, preparation and validation of financial inputs.
- Assist with cost management by monitoring spending, analyzing cost drivers, and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Execute month‑end reporting and close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
- Complete transactional accounting and finance duties assigned, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 2 Years of experience in Accounting or Finance required, within a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel related to Accounting, Finance and Financial modeling applications.
- Knowledge of Financial Statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
- Team player, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a constrained environment (deadlines, costs, able to work under pressure).
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with external providers, internal employees, and other departments.
- Ability to be flexible and to adjust priorities as necessary to meet changing conditions.
