Your Role:
You will play a key role in the supply chain side of our company. You will provide timely and quality products to our customers everyday by following standard procedures.
Essential Job Functions

May load and unload freight
-
Put product away using scanner or computer system
-
Selects and puts away material using narrow aisle, wire guided machines. This includes use of “operator up” machines and other powered industrial trucks.

Operate needed equipment to produce documents for workload
-
Locate, move, deliver or return all needed materials to proper areas
-
Prepares materials for shipment
-
Accurately document all movement of materials
-
Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy
-
Follow procedures to complete full location audits
-
Verifies chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
-
Prints and applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations
-
Condenses, straightens, and maintains warehouse areas
-
Works with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot systems issues.

Assists with training new employees
-
Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management
-
Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned

Operates both powered and material handling equipment in a safe manner.

Receives material from outside vendors
-
Packs hazardous items for shipment to customer
-
Scans or meters product into the shipping system
-
Packs the material, following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulations

Prepare materials for shipment, verifies that all the appropriate markings and labels are present all packages to comply with company procedures and DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations, making corrections when necessary

Scans or meters product into the shipping system

Selects orders for processing.

Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management

Miscellaneous duties, projects and tasks as assigned

Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule

Processes a 2-step goods receipt

Processes canning of material
-
Schedules dock appointments for carriers

Communicates with Procurement any discrepancies or product issues
-
Process CONF orders for shipment
-
Communicates with Customer Interface Departments on shipping issues, expedites priorities
-
Prepares hazardous shipping documentation
-
Maintains record of orders
-
Needed to follow all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
-
1+ year work experience
-
Shipping regulation knowledge or experience
-
Experience with hazardous materials
-
Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally and written.
-
Ability to work in a group setting.
-
Ability to operate PCs, scanners, printers, CRTs, shipping equipment (meters, tape machines, etc) and various cutting instruments.

Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
-
Ability to understand basic shipping regulations.
-
Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-pace environment.
Pay Range for this position - $18-$28/hour
