Duties: Responsible for the identification and definition of applications architectures, components and interfaces, design of data models, data/information flows, and security design. Provide practical, expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each approach, participating and leading phases of the software development cycle. Identify business value and costs for business and IT partners. Deliver software engineering designs and programs for new and existing products (both enhancements and new product development) that meet business needs. Keep current on best practices in information technology and marketplace trends, including business competitors and technology vendors. Identify data needs, including access, security, quality, and maintenance requirements. She will influence and clearly relate technical alternatives to business objectives using effective communication with customers and stakeholders. Recommend design alternatives, taking into consideration benefits and limitations to users based on an in-depth understanding of business needs. Code very complex or high risk components of these design alternatives. Provide technical direction and coaching to junior and associate software developers in application development activities. Telecommuting permitted within commuting distance. Offered Salary: $144,900.00 to $144,900.00

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related position.

Experience must include: Web technologies: HTML, Angular, Java Script, Type Script, and XML; Utilizing Bootstrap CSS design languages including Unified Modelling Language (UML); Programming languages: C, C#, .NET, SQL, object oriented programming, Node JS, and LINQ queries; Working with DBMS/RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Mongo DB; Utilizing Internet information server tools including Microsoft Office, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Methodologies SDLC, and Waterfall; Working with Agile methodology.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
