Program Manager, US Oncology Medical Operations
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Program Manager at Amgen plays a critical role in planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This individual partners with cross-functional teams, proactively manages risks, resolves project-related challenges, and ensures that all deliverables meet Amgen’s high standards of quality. This role directly supports the U.S. Medical Lead(s) in driving and executing product strategy and will focus on two high-priority oncology assets—one of which is Imdelltra, recognized as one of Time magazine’s Best Inventions of 2024.
Responsibilities include:
- Support US Medical Lead(s) and US Oncology Medical Team(s) in executing product strategy for high-priority Amgen oncology products.
- Liaise with relevant cross-functional team members to manage US regional processes, advance alignment and to ensure deliverables are met.
- Organize and facilitate team meetings with a strong focus on timeliness and efficiency, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, ensuring presentations are ready, sending pre-reads on time, following up on pending actions, and managing logistics and meeting requests, and team communications.
- Oversight and tracking of critical team initiatives including budget management.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in a relevant scientific or healthcare field
Or
Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field and/or MBA, & with at least 2 years of Project Management experience in a healthcare field
Or
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field & with at least 4 years of Project Management experience in a healthcare field
Or
Associates degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field & with at least 8 years of Project Management experience in a healthcare field
Or
High school diploma / GED & with at least 10 years of Project Management experience in a healthcare field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology experience and/or a strong scientific background.
- Project Management, in the biopharma
