Are you a seasoned hardware engineer with a passion for wireless communication product design? Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of electronic hardware for wireless communication devices, focusing on IoT and metering applications.
- Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new hardware components and technologies to enhance our product offerings.
- Design Validation: Design and execute experiments to validate electronics design, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide technical support to product management, manufacturing, and third-party collaborators.
- PCB & Documentation: Oversee the preparation of PCB layouts and detailed PCBA drawings and schematics.
- Component Management: Manage component selection and documentation, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead innovative technology development and validation efforts.
- Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering their growth and preparing them for independent design work.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Expertise: Extensive experience in RF, analog, and digital electronic hardware design.
- Communication Technologies: In-depth knowledge of communication technologies such as RF Mesh (Wi-SUN), Cellular (LTE M, NB-IoT), Wi-Fi, ZigBee, and Bluetooth/BLE.
- Simulation Tools: Proficiency in computer-aided simulation tools (e.g., PSPICE, LTSPICE, MATLAB, CST, HFSS).
- Lab Equipment: Strong familiarity with common lab test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, waveform generators).
- Programming: Skilled in computer programming and scripting languages, including Python, C, C++, and Bash.
- Communication: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Documentation: Experience generating technical documentation and working with product management to establish product requirements.
- Development Processes: Proficiency with development processes, tools, and frameworks relevant to hardware design and validation.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to understand and analyze data to solve problems and support design decisions.
- Experience: 6 - 10 years of hardware design or development experience in the electronics field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
