Instructional Assistant, Elementary School (NE) (Part-time) (2025-2026) - Monsignor Slade Catholic School, Glen Burnie MD

The Instructional Assistant, Elementary School will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help. In addition to this, the Assistant helps prepare materials for lessons, reinforces the ideas and topics presented by the teacher and assists in helping the children establish their day-to-day routine.

Essential Functions

• Assist classroom teacher with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for lessons and activities.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods.
• Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations with students.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with students.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

Range:  $17.00, Hourly
