Director, Field Services and Performance Parts

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Performance Parts and Field Services to shape and execute the North American strategy, aligning with global objectives and customer needs.
In this role, you will drive operational efficiency and profitability by managing capacity costs, resources, bookings, net sales, and product margins. You will lead revenue growth through innovative service offerings and parts solutions, establish and maintain service standards and compliance, and serve as the senior escalation point for critical issues. As a leader, you will mentor a high-performing team across North America, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Domestic and international travel is required.
Success in this position is measured by profitable business growth, market leadership, and the ability to inspire people to deliver results. This role reports to the Vice President, NA, Packaging and Paper Services BU.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships in packaging and paper services by understanding needs, delivering solutions, and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategic plans; prepare departmental and sales budgets.
- Identify growth opportunities, expand market presence, and drive revenue.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Valmet to achieve business objectives.
- Champion health and safety within the organization.
Expectations
To excel in the role, the ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the paper and packaging industry, its products, processes, customers, and business environment. A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, or a related field is needed. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pulp and energy industry with a proven record of leading and managing teams.
Strong leadership is required including inspiring others and setting a clear vision and purpose for our teams. Candidate will be expected to communicate the vision effectively and align our actions with business goals. A business professional who fosters collaboration can also empower, grow, and develop own organizational talent for future company success and sustainability.
