Director, Product Management

Position Summary

Domo is changing the way Executives manage their business. Pivotal within the most innovative business management platform. Domo’s Product Management team plays an extremely critical role in setting and driving product strategy in several pivotal elements of the Domo product. They are responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.  

Key Responsibilities

• Own the alignment and product strategy for Domo’s data platform teams;
• Expertise with data pipeline and data storage solutions and technologies;
• Understand own and innovate upon Domo’s core data connection, pipeline and ETL technologies;
• Understand the business impact both financially and strategically of decisions and chosen technology paths and investments;
• Define and analyze metrics that inform on the success of each iteration of the product;
• Lead the ideation, technical development, and ultimate launch of Domo’s products and features;
• Comfortable navigating and influencing across engineering teams, other departments and exec communication and alignment;
• Deliver articulate and well-documented product strategy proposals with market validation, competitive intelligence and thought our solution proposals;
• Drive timely and successful delivery of new products and features by partnering with engineering teams through the full SDLC supporting all GTM activities and feedback;
• Be an expert with respect to the competitive landscape;
• Demonstrate an ability to carefully manage the investment of engineering resources for highest value returns for the customers and company.;
• Lead a team of Product Managers and Associate Product Managers focusing on their development and ability to deliver on product goals.

Job Requirements

• 8+ years experience as a product manager with experience as a technical product manager; 
• 2-3 years experience leading and mentoring a team(s) of product managers; 
• Proven track record of delivering highly scalable and robust systems; 
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience; 
• Demonstrate past success of defining and launching excellent products; 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
• Technical background, with experience in BI, SaaS, enterprise, HA, distributed systems; 
• Excellent teamwork skills; 
• Experience using data visualization and data management platforms;
• Proven ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
